Texas Congressman and Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul told CNN’s ‘State of the Union’ that he is planning to remain in the race until the end and that he expects to have some influence at the GOP convention in Tampa Bay in August.

Rick Santorum has vowed to remain in the race following his third-place finish in Saturday’s South Carolina primary. The former Pennsylvania Senator garnered 17 percent of the votes, four percentage points ahead of Texas Congressman Ron Paul.

The Charlotte Observer reported on Tuesday that President Barack Obama would accept the Democratic nomination from a football stadium on Sept. 6 in order to accommodate as many supporters as possible. According to the newspaper, the event will be held at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C. The stadium is the home of the Carolina Panthers NFL professional football team.

Pro-Huntsman PAC considered purchasing anti-Romney film

An article published by Politico on Monday claims that a PAC supporting former Utah Governor Jon Huntsman considered purchasing a 30-minute film to highlight former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney‘s “corporate raider” mentality while he was at the helm of private-equity group Bain Capital. Pro-Gringrich super PAC ‘Winning Our Future‘ eventually purchased the film, entitled “King of Bain: When Mitt Romney Came to Town”, for $40,000.

Texas Congressman Ron Paul told CNN’s ‘State of the Union’ on Sunday that he could win the Iowa vote on Tuesday. Dr. Paul’s, who was in fourth position a few weeks ago, now finds himself in second place behind former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney.
